Who We Are

Our firm is headed by Steve Schwartz, a real estate financier with over 35 years of experience in debt and equity placements. Throughout his career, his positions have focused on all aspects of commercial real estate finance, including origination, underwriting, and closing on a wide range of property types and loan structures. He was the founder of the Century City Chamber of Commerce Real Estate Council, which he built into the most successful group at the Chamber, and has been a guest lecturer on real estate finance at UCLA, UC San Diego, and the Society of Industrial Realtors.

Before founding Schwartz Financial in 1983, Mr. Schwartz gained valuable expertise as a Vice President at Security Pacific Bank in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for arranging real estate financings on major commercial projects. Prior to that position, he served as a Corporate Relationship Manager at the Chase Bank in New York, where he was responsible for soliciting and structuring a portfolio of over $ 140,000,000 in loans. At Chase he was also Manager of the Credit Department where he was responsible for managing the production of financial reviews and analyses of Chase's Fortune 500 borrowers. He also worked as an International Lending Officer at the Chase Bank in Europe.

Mr. Schwartz completed his MBA in Finance at Columbia University in New York. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Economics from Queens College of the City University of New York.
